I use to be very hesitant trying this ,but once i got used to it. It seems very easy. Any bean (kidney beans,mung beans,chickpeas etc) can be sprouted.

Ingredients:
1 cup(any beans like mung,kala chana)
Water
cheese cloth or a thin porous cloth
Method:
1. Wash 1 cup of beans. Soak them in plenty of water for 12-14 hours.
(i usually soak them at night and take them out in the afternoon(next day) to rinse).
2. Rinse 2-3 times after soaking and drain them.
3. Spread them on a cheese cloth or a thin porous cloth for some time.

4. Beans should be damp and aired but not wet ,otherwise there is a chance of mould or spoiling.
5. Twist the sides of the cloth together tie a knot or use a rubber band to tie the ends. Put this in a bowl with a lid in a dark place.
6.Sprouted beans will be ready in a day or 2.One cup yields 4 cups sprouted.
Note:If you don't have a cheese cloth.put drained beans in a bowl with a lid.Put it in a dark place.
These can be stored in the fridge for 6-7 days.Use them in fresh salads and curries.
