Badam Milk Shake/Almond Shake

This is a simple delicious badam milk recipe.
Badam Milk
Serves :2-3

Ingredients:
15-20 almonds soaked overnight or at least for 2-3 hours and peeled
3 cups of milk
10 strands of saffron(warm it up in a small bowl over the stove for about 30 seconds and press to make powder)
3-4 crushed green cardamoms or ¼ tsp of cardamom powder
3 tbsp sugar or to taste
few drops of rosewater(optional)
Sliced almonds for garnish

Method:
1.Grind soaked and peeled almonds along with some milk, make a paste.
2.In a heavy bottomed vessel add milk,sugar and almond paste.
bring milk to a boil. 
3.Put on medium low heat and let it boil for 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally.
4.Add saffron powder and cardamom powder boil for 5 more minutes. Switch off the flame.
5.Allow it to cool. Serve chilled. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top before serving.

Tips:
If you are in a hurry soak almonds in hot water for 20 min ,peel the skin and make a paste.
If it is too thick you can always add cold milk to it.

  1. You can add a bit of nutmeg powder.It gives a good flavour.
